Including external treatment of the upper back, scalp, jaw, neck (anterior and posterior) and intraoral massage between the teeth and the cheek and under the tongue. Working inside the mouth is done with informed consent and gloves are worn.

You are experiencing jaw pain, tension headaches, have been diagnosed with Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction (TMD), decreased jaw range of motion, clicking in the joint, you clench or grind your teeth or feel like you carry your stress in your jaw

How long are appointments?

Initial TMJ appointments, if it’s been awhile since your last TMJ appointment, or your symptoms have changed are 60 minutes and require assessment. Assessment includes seeing how your jaw moves, any popping or clicking and external palpation of the jaw and scalp. Depending on your individual needs subsequent appointments can be either 60 or 45 minutes.

Is TMJ Massage Painful?

No. Intraoral treatment may be uncomfortable but it should not be painful. You do not have to keep your mouth open during the whole time while working inside the mouth and if it is ever too uncomfortable we can take a break or stop all together
